Investing In The Kingdom of God

Give as the Lord leads you.

Alden understands that Yahweh does not need nor want "our" money but rather He desires us.  Therefore, we believe that giving is simply a byproduct of our relationship with God based upon our love, priorities, heart, and attitude toward Him.  Many leaders of churches, regardless of denomination or traditions, brow-beat the people about money and guilt them into giving.  The truth of the matter is that is wrong and is not biblical.

The scripture informs us that "You must each decide in your heart how much to give.  And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure.  'For God loves a person who gives cheerfully." (2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT, second edition).  Therefore, when giving you should:

  • Give Thoughtfully - Don't give impulsively.  The most spiritual kind of giving is when you think about it and pray about it and make up your mind about it.  Why? Because we plan anything that is important in our lives.  God wants your giving to be important and meaningful in your life.
  • Give Enthusiastically - Don't just say, "I have to give! If I don't give God's going to hit me with lightning or something."  Give because you know God's going to do something big in your heart when you become a generous person.
  • Give Voluntarily - Anytime you are pressured by a person to give, do not give.  God's not going to bless it anyway.  But every time you feel challenged by God to give, you'd better give.
  • Give Cheerfully - Give joyfully! One of the Greek words for offering in the word is "hilarious". God wants you to enjoy giving to him and to others.1

Alden's desire is not to be religious but rather a Kingdom representation on earth as it is in heaven.  Therefore, we place a tremendous amount of time, energy, and resources in empowering you to understand Yahweh's holy word, so that you have the opportunity to enrich your personal relationship with Yahweh and allow your personal and intimate relationship to lead you in your decision to invest/sow into Alden's ministry thoughtfully, enthusiastically, voluntarily, and cheerfully.

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the furthering of Alden ministries and Yahweh's Kingdom.
